We are happy to take referrals from other practitioners for Implants, Invisalign, Dentures and Sedation.
The process for doing this is, we would like a referral letter from that practitioner in writing outlining the treatment required. If the patient is edentulous and wants dentures then we do not require a referral letter as our Clinical Dental Technician can carry out the examination of the mouth. Patients who would like Invisalign do not always need a referral letter unless they are in the middle of treatment with their own GDP and this would only be to advise us of areas that may effect Invisalign treatment. For all other treatments we would like a referral letter.
We would then contact the patient/or the patient can contact us to arrange a consultation appointment. The charge for this appointment would be £47.50. At this appointment a full examination would be carried out to check the patient’s suitability for the treatment and a treatment plan drawn up. Treatment and charges would be explained to the patient allowing them to make an informed decision on whether they wish to continue with the treatment.
Once the patient has consented to the treatment we would then scheduled treatment appointments. We would also if needed write to the prescribing dentist explaining the planned treatment.
Once treatment is complete we would the place the patients back in the care of their regular dentist and we would not need to see them again unless there as any queries with regard to the treatment they received from us.
